Creative Initiative by Nepali Peacekeepers in South Sudan

Kathmandu: Nepali peacekeepers deployed in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), have interacted with 190 students and teachers at a local primary school.

The programme was organized to encourage students to remain engaged in education and inspire them to work toward a brighter future through learning. During the programme, Nepali peacekeepers distributed educational and sports materials to the students.

The peacekeepers also engaged with the children in drawing and writing activities during the interaction. Local teachers and students expressed their appreciation for the support and thanked the Nepali peacekeepers for the initiative.

Alongside their security responsibilities, Nepali peacekeepers have continued to engage in social and creative activities aimed at supporting local communities and children.
