Kathmandu: Prime Minister Balendra Shah and Acting US Ambassador to Nepal Megan Boldin held a meeting at Singha Durbar on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Shah noted that both Nepali and foreign nationals had been affected by the Bhotekoshi–Trishuli floods and expressed gratitude for the solidarity and assistance extended by the United States during the disaster. He stressed the need for international cooperation to address climate-induced disasters.
Acting Ambassador Boldin expressed condolences over the losses caused by the floods and said the United States was ready to support Nepal’s relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts. The meeting also covered tourism development and potential areas for US investment in Nepal.
