Kathmandu: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava paid a farewell visit to Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal on Wednesday. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singha Durbar, where they discussed various aspects of Nepal-India relations.
During the meeting, Minister Khanal congratulated Ambassador Srivastava on the successful completion of his tenure and praised his role in further strengthening Nepal-India ties. They also discussed progress in energy cooperation, trade, infrastructure and connectivity, as well as people-to-people relations between the two countries.
Minister Khanal expressed gratitude for India’s prompt search, rescue and relief assistance following the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River. He wished Ambassador Srivastava success in his future endeavors and expressed confidence that India would continue to remain a good friend of Nepal.
Ambassador Srivastava expressed appreciation for the support and cooperation he received from the Nepal government during his tenure and said he was confident that Nepal-India relations would become even closer and more prosperous in the days ahead.
