The proposed amendment includes at least six months of paid maternity leave for mothers and up to 42 days of paid paternity leave for fathers to help care for the newborn.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Gautam said preparations are underway to get the draft approved by the Cabinet and table it in Parliament.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu: The government has initiated the process of amending the law to provide women with up to six months of paid maternity leave.
